Fixing MGS Delta FPS Drops
Sneaking through the rainforest, the frame rate would plummet from 80 to 42 FPS every time I changed my stealth posture, which felt lethal. I tried increasing the page file in Windows, but loading speeds actually got slower, which ironically made me eager to try a deeper hardware fix. I used the GamePP Memory Controller Load Monitor to identify the issue and then tightened BIOS timings to 14-16-16-34 and voltage to 1.38V per HWInfo. After relaxing tRAS to 36, MemTest86 confirmed zero errors, with memory temps at 42-48℃ per AIDA64.
