Fixing i5-14600KF thread scheduling and stutters in Far Cry 7?
Seeing my frames climb from 60 to a steady 95 was an absolute rush. Before this, my i5-14600KF in Balanced mode was dumping physics tasks onto the E-Cores, leaving the P-Cores at 40% while the E-Cores were pinned at 100%. That resource mismatch caused terrible micro-stutters. I tried disabling E-Cores in the BIOS, but that was too extreme—my multitasking tanked and the 1% lows started swinging wildly. I didn't want to compromise. I used the GamePP Power Plan Switcher to lock the system into Ultimate Performance and optimized the thread priorities. On the GamePP Hardware Sensor Page, P-Core clocks stayed rock solid at 5.2 GHz, and frame times tightened from 16-28ms down to 11-14ms.
