Improving 4K Performance
The 4K Remastered experience was terrible; the CR-1400's sluggish response caused core temperatures to swing between 82-94℃ per AIDA64. I tried full speed in BIOS, but it sounded like a helicopter and only lowered the temperature by 3℃, which was incredibly frustrating. I accessed the GamePP Fan Curve Configuration Panel and set a step-wise increase to 1700 RPM for the 70-90℃ range. FrameView showed minimum FPS rose from 48 to 65, and HWMonitor confirmed CPU temperatures stayed between 74-80℃.
