Why does God of War Ragnarok stutter during combat scene switches?

Summoning units in GoW Ragnarok caused severe stutters as the SLC cache on my Galax B760M Light D4 overflowed. I tried setting virtual memory to half the disk space, which worsened the read/write conflicts. I then used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Config to raise the depth to 2048 and enabled forced write cache refresh. Per CrystalDiskMark, 4K random reads jumped from 45-52MB/s to 68-75MB/s, reducing load times from 12s to 5s.
