GamePP Privacy Policy

This policy is drafted to align with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). See each section for legal references.

1. Introduction

GamePP (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data when you use our products and services (collectively, the "Services").

Roles: GamePP acts as a Data Controller when determining the purposes and means of processing personal data, and may act as a Data Processor when processing data on behalf of third parties.

2. Privacy Protection Principles

  1. Security and Reliability. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. (GDPR Art.32; CCPA §1798.150)
  2. Choice and Control. We provide options to manage, correct, or delete personal information. (GDPR Art.7 & 21; CCPA §1798.105)
  3. Communication Privacy. We comply with laws protecting communication confidentiality. (GDPR Art.5(1)(f); APP 11)
  4. Data Minimization. We collect only data necessary for clearly defined purposes. (GDPR Art.5(1)(c); CCPA §1798.100(b))

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Registration: nickname, email address, and other registration details.
  • Uploaded Content: avatars and profile data that you upload.
  • Sensitive Data: Certain features may request sensitive information (e.g., device identifiers). You may decline; however, some features may be unavailable if you do not provide required information. Voluntary submission of such data constitutes consent for the stated processing purposes. 3.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Services, we may automatically collect service logs and telemetry, including:

  • Device Information: operating system version, CPU/GPU model, hard drive/monitor/memory models.
  • Device Monitoring Data: CPU/GPU temperature, utilization, frequency, power consumption, fan speed, memory usage, network speeds, FPS, and timestamps.
  • Game Information: game name, version, and compatibility/performance metrics.
  • IP Address: used for security and regional optimization.

3.3 Information from Third Parties & SDKs

We may obtain information from third-party partners for authentication, analytics, crash reporting and feature support. Embedded SDKs used by our applications include, for example:

  • Tencent Bugly SDK — collects Android ID and ICCID for crash analysis;
  • Umeng+ / Youmeng SDK — collects installation statistics and Android ID for analytics.

All third-party SDKs are evaluated for data minimization and legitimate purpose prior to integration. (GDPR Art.28; CCPA §1798.100(d))

4. Purpose of Processing

We process personal data for the following stated purposes:

  1. Service delivery, operation, and user account management;
  2. Personalization (language, preferences, interface settings);
  3. Product improvement, error analysis and system optimization;
  4. Content and feature recommendations relevant to you;
  5. Software certification, upgrade and license management;
  6. User research and satisfaction surveys.

5. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We and our partners use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to provide, analyze and personalize our Services. You may control cookie settings through your browser, but disabling certain cookies may affect functionality.

6. Managing Your Information

  1. Access, Correction, and Deletion. You may access, correct, or delete personal data via your account settings or by contacting us.
  2. Right to Erasure & Rectification. If data is inaccurate or unlawfully processed, you may request correction or deletion. (GDPR Art.16–17; CCPA §1798.105)
  3. Identity Verification. We may request identity verification to prevent unauthorized requests. (GDPR Recital 64)
  4. Response Time. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe (typically 30 days). (GDPR Art.12(3); CCPA §1798.130)

7. Data Sharing

We limit sharing of personal data and only do so under lawful, documented conditions:

  • With Consent: We share data where we have your explicit consent.
  • Service Providers: Third-party processors (e.g., cloud, email, analytics) may process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
  • Business Transactions: In mergers or acquisitions, we may transfer data but will require successors to protect data under equivalent safeguards.
  • Aggregated Data: We may publish anonymized and aggregated analytics that do not identify individuals.

8. Communications

We may send service-related messages, security alerts, and marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time via the unsubscribe mechanism provided. (GDPR Art.21(2); CCPA §1798.120)

9. Storage & Retention

Data Location: Personal data collected in China is stored in China. Cross-border transfers, where necessary, will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.

Retention Period: We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described or to satisfy legal obligations. When Services cease operation, we will notify users and delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period.

10. Information Security

We maintain reasonable administrative and technical safeguards such as encryption (TLS/SSL), anonymization, access control, and monitoring.

In case of a security incident, we will invoke our incident response plan and notify affected users and authorities as required by law without undue delay. (GDPR Art.32–34; CCPA §1798.150)

11. Advertising

We may use anonymized or pseudonymized data to deliver relevant advertising. Users may manage ad settings or opt out where applicable. (GDPR Art.21; CCPA §1798.120)

12. Protection of Minors

Our Services are not directed to individuals under 18. Minors must obtain parental or guardian consent prior to using the Services. Guardians may contact us to manage a minor’s data. (GDPR Art.8; CCPA §1798.120(c); APP 2)

13. Scope of Application

This Policy applies to all GamePP products and Services. Specific services may have tailored privacy statements; where inconsistencies arise, the specific service statements prevail.

Third-party services accessed through GamePP (e.g., via social login) are governed by those third parties’ policies. (GDPR Art.4(7–8); CCPA §1798.140(v))
