NVMe Cache Strategy
During combat in Mass Effect, summoning new units caused maddening momentary stutters. I tried setting virtual memory to half the remaining disk space, which worsened the read/write conflicts. I used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Config to set the queue depth to 2048 and enabled forced write cache flushing. CrystalDiskMark confirmed 4K random reads improved to 68-75MB/s, up from 45-52MB/s. HWiNFO showed drive temperature stable at 42-55°C, while the in-game timer dropped loading time from 12s to 5s. This export of performance data confirms that the SLC cache no longer overflows, ensuring smooth combat flow without the frustrating frame drops that interrupted my action sequences.
