Why does Avowed drop to 70 FPS on MSI B760M?

I was annoyed in Avowed; the MSI B760M BOMBER DDR4 VRM overheated, dropping FPS to 70. I tried page file, which made it worse. I used GamePP Fan Curve Panel to set fans to 1500-1800 RPM. AIDA64 confirmed VRM temp dropped to 65-70°C. CPU-Z showed 5.0GHz. HWiNFO verified fan speeds. Performance is restored.
