Optimizing NVMe Queue Depth
Traversing busy urban areas was a nightmare because the screen would freeze for 0.7 seconds during scene loads, which is lethal in fast-paced combat. I tried manually expanding the virtual memory to 64GB, but loading times actually increased and the freezes persisted, proving it was a queue issue. I accessed the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration and increased the depth from 1024 to 2048. After this, 4K random read speeds jumped to 65-72 MB/s per CrystalDiskMark, SSD temps stayed at 42-50℃ via CrystalDiskInfo, and latency hit 130ms per GamePP Storage Analysis.
