Fixing memory instability and latency on Biostar B650MT?
Those micro-stutters in the middle of an open wasteland completely kill the tension. Digging through the hardware logs, I found that the Biostar B650MT was struggling with 5200MHz RAM, hitting massive latency spikes of 110-130ns during heavy asset streaming. I first tried the motherboard's 'Auto OC' mode, which pushed the RAM to 5600MHz, but the game would just crash randomly every thirty minutes—super frustrating. I went back into the BIOS, manually bumped the SoC voltage from 1.1V to 1.2V, and loosened the primary timings from 36-36-36-76 to 40-40-40-80. In AIDA64, the read/write latency tightened up from 115ns to a much cleaner 82-88ns, and the hitches vanished. I actually had a few failed boots when I first bumped the voltage, and it only stabilized after I tweaked the DRAM voltage to 1.35V. Now, the memory stays between 42-48℃ and the chipset is around 55-62℃. After five full cycles of MemTest86 with zero errors, the system is finally rock solid.
