How to fix texture loading delays on the WD Black SN850 2TB?
Zipping through Manhattan is a nightmare when the buildings suddenly turn into blurry low-poly blobs. It completely kills the immersion. I realized this was a classic storage response lag issue. Digging deeper, I found the WD Black SN850's default power-saving states were switching way too fast, causing read latency to swing wildly between 110-140ns. I jumped into the GamePP BIOS Load-Line Voltage Adjust Wizard and locked the NVMe controller voltage at a stable 1.1V, while disabling PCIe ASPM entirely. In AIDA64 random read tests, the latency snapped down to 65-78ns, and the city textures started streaming in buttery smooth.
