Samsung 990 PRO Queue Optimization
Galloping through the streets of Saint Denis, I felt the experience was terrible as distant building textures emerged slowly like pixel blocks. I first tried enabling Ultimate Performance mode in Windows; while CPU frequency rose, the texture lag remained, proving the bottleneck was the storage queue. Using GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration, I optimized the read/write queue depth to 256 and recalibrated SLC cache recovery priority. Random read latency stabilized at 15-22ms per CrystalDiskMark, with 80-110ms spikes gone via AIDA64 and temps at 48-56℃ per HWMonitor.
