Optimizing NVMe Queue Depth
Riding through Saint Denis, I was infuriated when the screen would freeze for a full second every time I entered a new area. I first tried installing the game on different hard drive partitions, but loading times actually increased by 2 seconds, which left me feeling completely helpless. I then accessed the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration, increased the depth from 1024 to 2048, and enabled the forced write cache flush. CrystalDiskMark showed 4K random reads jumping from 32MB/s to 58MB/s, and HWiNFO verified drive temperatures remained stable at 42-50℃, finally restoring my immersion.
