Optimizing Write Queue Depth
Building large communities in The Sims 5 was a pain; placing complex furniture caused 0.5s freezes that killed my creative flow. I initially tried disk defragmentation, but that's a waste for NVMe drives and just wears down the NAND flash. To solve this, I used GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to set the write queue depth to 64 and enabled forced cache flush. AIDA64 tests showed a 15% boost in random writes with response times at 2.1-5.8ms, and HWMonitor confirmed stable temps between 38-46℃. This finally managed to fix
