Smart TRIM for FFXVI Combat
During the final boss fight, every skill activation caused a noticeable hitch. I checked the logs and saw random read/write latency hitting 180us. I initially tried disabling TRIM entirely, thinking it was the bottleneck, but performance dropped further. That was a pain. I switched to GamePP NVMe Queue Configuration, enabled Smart TRIM, and locked the queue depth to 512. CrystalDiskMark stress tests showed the latency dropped to a stable 95us. The drive temperature remained consistent between 45℃ and 50℃ per GamePP Hardware Sensor. Now my combos execute smoothly without any input delay.
