Far Cry 7 SSD Cache Fix
Riding through the jungle in Far Cry 7, I saw pixelated mountains due to texture loading delays. I first tried increasing the page file to 32GB, which dropped my frame rate from 78 to 61 FPS, a total disaster. I then used GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to raise the controller queue depth from 1024 to 2048 and enabled forced write cache refresh. This fixed the bottleneck on my YMTC Zhitai TiPlus7100 4TB. CrystalDiskMark showed 4K random read speeds jumping from 45-52MB/s to 68-75MB/s. AIDA64 reported the drive temperature remained stable at 42-55°C.
