How to fix Thermalright PA120 V3 thermal lag in Days Gone?
The game would just randomly drop frames during the most intense fights, and the performance dip was brutal when handling tons of physics debris. Looking at my logs, the Thermalright PA120 V3 fans were ramping up way too slowly between 70°C - 85°C in AIDA64, leaving the core temps hovering between 88°C - 94°C in HWiNFO. I first tried setting the fans to full blast in the BIOS, but the high-pitched whine was audible even through my headset, which felt completely irrational. I then opened the GamePP Fan Curve Config Panel and aggressively steepened the ramp at 75°C, adding a 2-second temperature hysteresis.
