RTX 5060 8GB VRAM stuttering in The Last of Us Part I?
Entering those dense urban ruins, the game would just freeze for 0.1 seconds—classic VRAM overflow that makes you want to pull your hair out. The GamePP Hardware Sensor Page showed VRAM pinned at 7.8-8.0GB, forcing the system to lean on sluggish virtual memory, causing frame times to spike between 16-45ms. I first tried dropping textures to Medium, but the game looked like mud and the stutters were still there, which was absolutely infuriating. I then opened the GamePP Resource Scheduler Panel, set the game's memory priority to High, and locked the page file to a fast NVMe partition. In RTSS, frame times finally converged to 14-18ms, and the texture tearing eased up.
