Is my Noctua NH-D15S overheating and causing stutters in Returnal?
Right when the combat gets intense, the smoothness just evaporates into these tiny, jarring hitches that make dodging a nightmare. Looking at the GamePP Frame Time Analyzer, the frame intervals were jumping from 8ms to 22ms because the NH-D15S heatsink was totally heat-soaked, with temps idling around 84℃ - 89℃. I tried enabling High Performance mode in Windows, but that just pushed the CPU to 95℃ and triggered thermal throttling, which honestly made me panic for a second. I went into the GamePP Fan Curve Config Panel and changed the 80℃+ ramp from linear to exponential, forcing a 1500 RPM peak at 85℃.
