Why does my RTX 5060 Ti 16G stutter during rift jumps?
Every time the character rips through a dimension, the game hitches hard, and that lack of fluidity was honestly making me anxious. Even though the Gigabyte RTX 5060 Ti 16G has plenty of VRAM, the shader compilation queue was backing up in the background, causing frame times to spike from 11ms to a miserable 42ms. I tried bumping my virtual memory up to 64GB, but that did absolutely nothing for VRAM scheduling and actually made the stutters worse—just a total letdown. I finally went into the NVIDIA Control Panel, manually set the Shader Cache Size to 10GB, and forced the Power Management Mode to 'Prefer Maximum Performance'. In RTSS, the frame times finally settled into a smooth 13 - 17ms range, and the transitions became buttery. One heads-up: the first boot after this change took an extra 40 seconds to load until I rebooted and let all the shaders pre-compile. VRAM usage now sits between 10.5 - 12.8GB with core temps at 64 - 70℃. The input lag is gone and the controls feel incredibly responsive.
