Should I tweak virtual memory for Kioxia G4 in Palworld?
Every time I flicked the camera around my base, the FPS would tank from 80 down to 25, which was honestly anxiety-inducing. The Kioxia G4's random write latency was spiking between 30 - 80ms while handling save data, creating a massive bottleneck in the rendering pipeline. I tried dropping all settings to Low, but it only gave me 10 FPS back while the stutters remained—a total waste of time. I went into Windows memory management and locked the page file to 32GB, then enabled Force Write in the driver panel. Monitoring showed 4K random reads jumping from 45 MB/s to 72 MB/s, and my 1% lows climbed from 22 FPS back up to 54 FPS. I did notice some weird disk usage during idle after enabling Force Write, but tweaking the Indexing Service killed that. SSD temps are now 54 - 60℃, controller at 68 - 74℃. Benchmark tests show the I/O block is gone, and the input lag is finally nonexistent.
