Pump humming in Mass Effect, should you use a new pump?

GamePP Power Plan Switcher fixed the 2kHz hum instantly. I thought the pump was dying. I almost bought a replacement. High Performance plan disabled C-States. Current fluctuation dropped to 0.2A per GamePP. Noise frequency settled at 800Hz. CPU temp held at 65-68℃.
