Reducing I/O Read Latency
Every time I switched views to check my territory, the game would freeze for several seconds, which left me feeling incredibly anxious. I tried cleaning disk fragments, but loading times only improved by a fraction of a second and the hangs persisted. I then used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configurator to increase queue depth from 32 to 128. This boosted 4K read performance to 60-68 MB/s per CrystalDiskMark, with storage temps staying at 42-50℃ per HWInfo64.
