Why does Ground Control 2 freeze during large physics explosions?

Whenever massive physics destruction occurred, the screen would freeze for about 0.4 seconds, which made me incredibly anxious. I tried lowering texture quality to 'High', but the visual fidelity loss was severe and didn't stop the stutter. I accessed the GamePP Resource Scheduler, set the VRAM priority to highest, and forced a defragmentation. Frame generation time dropped from 25-60ms to 16-22ms per RTSS monitoring, and core temperature stayed at 65-71℃ per AIDA64 with fans at 1700RPM per HWiNFO.
