Optimizing Zotac RTX 5070 Ti 16GB for Elden Ring combat
During high-intensity boss fights, my frame rate would plummet from 90 FPS to 40 FPS, which is an absolute nightmare for a soulslike. I opened the GamePP Hardware Sensor Page and saw the GPU core clock bouncing erratically between 2100-2500 MHz, with voltage swinging between 0.9-1.0V. I tried lowering shadow quality in-game, but that only gained me 5 FPS while the stuttering remained, which was incredibly aggravating. I then used the GamePP BIOS Load-Line Voltage Adjust Wizard to switch the load-line from Auto to Manual and added a +0.02V offset to the core voltage. RTSS showed frame times tightening to 11-15ms, and the combat fluidity improved drastically.
