Why is my Noctua NH-D14 fan speed spiking to 2500 RPM during Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden exploration?

The Noctua NH-D14 hit 2500 RPM, creating 45 dB of noise that ruined my Banishers immersion. I tried changing page file settings, but FPS dropped to 45. I used GamePP Fan Curve Configuration to reduce speed to 1800 RPM and raised the thermal threshold to 75°C. I then fine-tuned it to 1500 RPM for balance. AIDA64 noise test confirmed levels dropped to 35-38 dB. This set a quiet, stable environment for exploration.
