How to tune virtual memory for Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz?
Trying to run this game on 16GB of RAM is basically a stress test; my usage was pinned at 98%, and the system was desperately using the SSD as RAM. The bandwidth on the Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz just couldn't keep up with high-frequency effects, and the page file swap frequency was jumping between 40,0 - 60,0 ms, causing a hitch every few seconds. I tried closing every single background app, but that only saved about 300MB—a total joke. I ended up manually setting the virtual memory to 32GB and placed it on my fastest NVMe partition, while killing every non-essential service in Task Manager. In Resource Monitor, the hard page faults dropped from 110 per second to about 12 per second, which significantly cut down the stuttering. I actually tried 64GB at first, but the system boot time became ridiculously slow, so I dialed it back to 32GB. RAM temps stayed around 52,0 - 58,0 C. Exported the mapping data for analysis, and it's finally stable.
