Analyzing Fanxiang S910Max 1TB thermal throttling in Tomb Raider
Man, the Fanxiang S910Max is basically a space heater; during 4K ultra loads in Tomb Raider, temps hit 82°C, and the speed dropped faster than a rock once thermal throttling kicked in. I wanted to see exactly how long it could hold out, so I ran 10 massive file copies in the background to try and push it to the limit. The fragmented data showed: 10GB read at 65°C was stable, 50GB read at 78°C started dipping, and 100GB read at 85°C saw speeds get slashed in half. I joked that this isn't an SSD, it's a motherboard radiator. I used the GamePP Hardware Sensor Page to log the full temperature-to-speed correlation curve and exported it as a CSV to analyze the heatsink's actual efficiency.
