Solve Scene Loading Stutters
It was ironic that with 64GB of RAM per CPU-Z, I still encountered hopeless stutters while loading the Seattle city scenes in The Last of Us Part II. I thought the SSD was too slow and migrated the game to another drive, but the loading time barely changed, leaving me feeling helpless. Using the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configurator, I found the queue was limited to 128; I adjusted it to a balanced 512 and optimized memory mapping. CrystalDiskMark showed random writes increased from 42MB/s to 65-78MB/s, and AIDA64 confirmed temperatures stayed at 45-51℃.
