Fixing I/O Blocking Crashes
Running a next-gen fighter on an old Intel 660P felt like a stress test; the game would randomly crash at the character select screen. I tried updating the drivers via Device Manager, but the new versions actually increased the crash frequency, which was incredibly frustrating. I then enabled the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration, locked the queue depth at 1024, and disabled write cache merging. CrystalDiskMark showed latency converged to 8-12ms, HWMonitor showed 40-48℃, and GPU-Z confirmed GPU temps at 60-78℃.
