Is the Maxsun MS-Challenger B850M overheating in Stalker 2?
This board is budget-friendly, but in a hardware-heavy game like Stalker 2, the power delivery is basically playing with fire. It felt like my CPU was being turned into a steak; the VRM temps were hovering around 100°C, causing my clock speeds to tank from 4.8GHz to 2.1GHz. It was like watching a slideshow. I tried switching to 'Power Saver' mode in Windows, which lowered the temps but turned the game into a literal PPT—just a pointless exercise. I finally went into the BIOS and capped the CPU power limit (PL1/PL2) at 125W and cranked my case fans to a screaming 2000 RPM. H
