Optimizing VRAM on Sapphire RX 7900 XTX
I hated the stutters in Resident Evil Village when units spawned, with frame times jumping from 12ms to 25ms on my Sapphire RX 7900 XTX. I tried lowering textures, but it failed, causing detail loss and more drops. I then used GamePP Hardware Sensor Page to monitor VRAM and enabled high-performance mode in BIOS, switching the fan curve from Silent to Balanced. Per 3DMark Stress Test, VRAM usage dropped from 23.5-24.2GB to 21.8-22.5GB. The GPU temperature stabilized at 68-72℃, and I was able to export the data successfully.
