Intel 660P SLC Cache for Tomb Raider
Despite sufficient hardware, Tomb Raider (New) exploration scenes flickered like a broken projector. I tried increasing virtual memory, but it failed and caused disk conflicts that dropped the frame rate to 30 FPS. I then found the NVMe controller cache strategy was too conservative. I used GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to increase the queue depth from 1024 to 2048 and enabled the forced write cache refresh strategy on my Intel 660P 512GB NVMe M.2 SSD.
