Why does Hollow Knight: Silksong freeze during area transitions on SN770?

The moment I entered a new area, the screen would freeze for 0.5 seconds without warning, which is a nightmare for a side-scroller. I tried installing the game on a different SATA drive, but loading times jumped from 5 to 20 seconds per GamePP Monitor and freezes remained. I then used GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Config to set the depth to 2048 and updated the firmware. Consequently, 4K random reads increased to 62-70MB/s per CrystalDiskMark, and temperatures stabilized at 40-46℃ per HWiNFO.
