Reduce Memory Latency and Stutter
Large battles in Expeditions: Rome were lagging badly. My ASUS TUF GAMING B650M-PLUS WIFI was running default timings of 40-40-40-76, causing latency spikes up to 115ns. I tried increasing the page file to 32GB, but it dropped my FPS from 78 to 61, which was a frustrating dead end. I needed a hardware-level fix. I used GamePP BIOS Load Line Voltage Adjustment Wizard to tighten timings to 36-38-38-72 and bumped the voltage to 1.30V. AIDA64 showed latency converging to 76-82ns. MemTest86 ran six loops with zero errors. The texture loading is instant now. Export your new BIOS profile to keep these stable settings.
