Controlling NVMe Power Spikes
It was ridiculous that a top-tier 2TB drive caused system freezes; the controller temperature spiked from 55℃ to 78℃ in 3 seconds per GamePP Hardware Sensor. I tried adding extra heatsinks, but while it dropped the temp by 5 degrees, the freezes still happened randomly, which felt like a waste of time. I used GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to limit the depth to 128, then tuned it to 256 to reduce load. 3DMark stress tests showed stable reads at 7100-7300MB/s, and temperatures finally stabilized at 62-68℃ per GamePP Hardware Sensor.
