Tuning ASUS X870-A Memory Timings
In Dota 2 team fights, my ASUS X870-A memory timing mismatch caused frame rates to plummet from 144 FPS to 90 FPS. I tried increasing virtual memory, which only increased load times and did not alleviate the bottleneck. Using GamePP Hardware Sensor, I observed the memory controller load and adjusted timings from 40-40-40-76 to 36-38-38-72, relaxing tRAS to 80. Frame generation time converged to 6-8ms. Memory temperature stabilized at 48-55℃ via MemTest86, and VRM temperature maintained 60-65℃. I exported the config for future use.
