Managing VRM Temperatures
While stalking in Way of the Hunter, I noticed that after an hour, my FPS slowly drops from 60 to 45. I tried lowering the graphics settings; while FPS went up, core temps stayed around 85℃ per AIDA64, proving the issue was motherboard VRM cooling. The GamePP Fan Curve Configuration Panel showed VRM temps hitting 95-105℃. After a failed attempt to lock fans at 100% (too loud, only 3℃ drop), I set a curve of 80% speed at 70℃ and optimized intake timing. AIDA64 confirmed VRM temperatures were suppressed to 82-88℃ and CPU temps stabilized at 65-72℃.
