Optimizing Shader Compilation
Exploring alien wastes was frustrating; every quick camera turn caused a 0.5s freeze, making the game feel choppy. I tried disabling the shader cache in the driver, but that meant 10-minute load times every launch and even worse stutters—a huge mistake. I used the GamePP Shader Compilation Queue Manager to force pre-compilation and wiped 4.2GB of redundant cache. This fixed it: frame times stabilized at 12-15ms per RTSS, and VRAM usage stayed consistent at 10.5-12.1GB per GPU-Z.
