How to fix write latency on FireCuda 530 in Palworld?
While building my massive Pal factory, my camera rotation started hitting these periodic hitches that were incredibly frustrating. The FireCuda 530 was struggling with thousands of tiny files, and because the partition alignment was slightly off, the IOPS were swinging wildly between 150K-220K, making the game engine just wait on the drive. I tried turning off Windows Fast Startup, but that just added 3 seconds to my boot time—totally useless. I ended up using a partition tool to force 4K alignment and flashed the latest firmware. CrystalDiskMark showed a 15% bump in random writes, and those micro-stutters in the base are completely gone. I did accidentally wipe a hidden recovery partition during the process, which made my boot sequence sluggish until I fixed the BCD via command prompt. Temps sat around 42-52℃.
