Kioxia Exceria Plus G4 1TB stability fix for Mass Effect
During galaxy jumps, the screen would give this tiny, annoying twitch that was super obvious at 4K. I opened the GamePP Hardware Sensor Page and saw the Kioxia Exceria Plus G4 1TB hitting 68-74°C on HWiNFO during heavy reads. It wasn't crashing, but the controller was definitely fluctuating. I tried lowering the texture quality in-game, but the stutters stayed, proving this was a disk I/O heat issue and not VRAM—a frustrating bit of trial and error. I then hit the GamePP Fan Curve Config Panel and forced the M.2 area fan to 85% once it hit 65°C. In the RTSS Frame Time Analyzer, the frame generation time tightened from 16-28ms to a smooth 16-19ms.
