Why is my Soyo SY-Yanlong B550M stuttering in Like a Dragon: Ishin?
During large-scale brawls, the game would just randomly drop frames, which is a total dealbreaker for an action game. The GamePP Hardware Sensor Page showed that the I/O bus load on the Soyo SY-Yanlong B550M was spiking between 35ms - 65ms, creating a massive conflict between asset loading and CPU calculations. I started by disabling every unnecessary background service in the drivers; while CPU usage went down, the stuttering didn't budge, which made me really cautious. I then used the GamePP Resource Scheduler Panel to set the game to 'Realtime' and boosted the Disk I/O weight in the Process Priority Manager. The fluidity in combat improved noticeably, and that jerky feeling was gone.
