Fixing KCD2 Storage Latency
Combat in KCD II was frustrating. My Western Digital WD Black SN770 2TB was hitting bandwidth limits, causing frame times to jump from 8ms to 18ms. I lowered graphics, but it felt like a compromise. I used the GamePP Hardware Sensors to set I/O priority to Manual Highest and switched to High Performance power plan. I/O speed stabilized at 3200MB/s. Frame times converged to 9-11ms. This verify step ensures smooth play.
