How to fix M.2 drive latency on Galax B760M D4 White Phantom?

Every time I entered a new area, the loading bar would hang at 99% for a few seconds, which completely broke the game's flow. Analysis showed the M.2 interface on the Galax B760M D4 White Phantom had random small-file response times of 150-200ms—clearly a protocol scheduling issue. I tried updating the SSD drivers in Windows, but it only shaved off 0.5 seconds, which is basically nothing. I then flashed the latest BIOS firmware and forced the storage mode from Compatibility to pure AHCI. In CrystalDiskMark, 4K random reads jumped from 32MB/s to 58-64MB/s, and load times dropped from 12 seconds to 7. I actually failed the BIOS flash once because of the USB format, but reformatting to FAT32 fixed it. Drive temps are 42-50℃. After 10 boots, the speed is consistent, and memory temps stay at 58-63℃.
