How to fix I/O bottlenecks on Western Digital SN850X 2TB SSD?
The second I call in an orbital railcannon strike, the screen hitches. In a firefight, that kind of stutter is a death sentence. The SN850X was struggling with massive amounts of explosion debris data, with response times swinging between 15-30ms. I tried turning on Windows Game Mode, but it did absolutely nothing for the underlying I/O block—just a useless software toggle. I installed the official Western Digital Dashboard driver and disabled Windows Indexing to lower the drive's overhead.
