How to fix power delivery issues on Soyo SY-A320D4+ for Fortnite?

During fast-paced building fights, my frames would suddenly tank from 120 to 45, which is basically a death sentence in a competitive game. The Soyo SY-A320D4+ uses a very basic power phase design, and under load, the VRMs were hitting 108℃, causing the CPU to hit a severe current limit. I tried the 'Balanced' power plan in Windows, but my 1% lows dropped to 30 FPS, which was completely unacceptable. I went into the BIOS and manually capped the CPU TDP to 65W, then cranked my front case fans up to 1600 RPM to force more air over the VRM area. In OCCT stress tests, the clock speed finally stayed stable between 3.4-3.7GHz instead of crashing. I had a weird issue where the system had a long boot delay after the power cap, but re-enabling the XMP profile sorted it out. VRM temps are now sitting around 85-91℃. 3DMark confirms the frequency curve is flat now, though you're definitely leaving some performance on the table to keep the board from melting.
