What should I do if Dead Space Remake hitches during area transitions on a Galax B760M board?

Whenever I hit a loading screen for a closed area, the game would just hang for a split second. In a horror game, that kind of stutter completely kills the atmosphere. Monitoring showed the Galax B760M D4 M.2 slot was swinging between 70-90% bandwidth utilization during heavy reads, pushing load latency up to 18-30ms. I tried closing background apps, but that barely freed any RAM and didn't touch the hardware bottleneck. I updated the BIOS to version 1.2 and forced the PCIe mode to Gen4 instead of Auto.
