Reducing NVMe Write Latency
In the horror of the space station, the most unsettling thing wasn't the monsters, but the sudden stutter every time the game auto-saved. I tried reserving 20% free space on the system drive, but it did absolutely nothing for these instant frame drops, making me very cautious about simple fixes. I used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to set the write queue to 64 and enabled forced cache flushing. CrystalDiskMark showed write latency dropped from 15-40ms to 8-12ms, and HWInfo recorded peak temperatures at 55-62℃. Now I can verify
