Fixing Huntkey Blizzard T600 Typhoon overheating in Control 2
In scenes with tons of destructible objects, my core temps would spike for a split second, and in a fast-paced fight, that kind of stutter is lethal. I found that the heat pipe efficiency on the Huntkey Blizzard T600 Typhoon basically hits a wall after 85℃, causing the core to oscillate between 88-94℃. I tried capping the processor state at 99% in Windows, but that only dropped temps by 5℃ while costing me 10 FPS—barely noticeable and not worth it. I ended up cranking the front case fans to blast cold air directly into the fins and set up a more aggressive stepped fan curve. HWiNFO showed the core temp drop from 92℃ to a stable 78-84℃, with frequencies staying between 4.2-4.6GHz. I actually installed one of the fans backward by mistake, which caused a temp spike at first, but flipping it around solved the issue. Now the CPU sits at 82℃, and after 5 hours of testing, the drops are gone with fans steady at 1500-1700 RPM.
