Need for Speed texture flicker? Jonsbo CR-1400 CPU heat fix
Absolute joke! The Jonsbo CR-1400 is way too small for the new Need for Speed at 4K Ultra; it's like trying to cool a blast furnace with a handheld fan. The texture flickering was making me nauseous. I tried dropping the resolution and killing ambient occlusion, but the game looked like something from the 90s—a complete waste of time. Then I compared the stock thermal curve and saw it didn't even start working until 80°C. I used GamePP to force an aggressive custom curve and dropped the CPU offset voltage by 0.05V to keep things chill. Surprisingly, the flickering stopped; it turns out the CPU was hitting instant heat spikes that messed up instruction execution.
