Why does my Mario emulator freeze at 80% loading?

I couldn't stand it—every large ROM boot froze at 80% for 3 seconds. I tried forcing PCIe Gen3 mode in BIOS, but the system just froze at the POST screen, which was terrifying. I used GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Config to adjust the depth from 64 to 256. CrystalDiskMark showed latency dropped to 65-72ns, and HWiNFO confirmed temps at 48-56℃. I then used GamePP System Backup to save the settings.
